The star of self-pleasuring is sexual lifeforce energy. This is the potent life-sustaining essence that exists in all living beings. Also called chi or prana, it is what Eastern health and spiritual practitioners use to purify and revitalize their bodies for long, joyful lives.

The source of our lifeforce energy is our sacral chakra, the energy center associated with our reproductive organs, sexuality, and creativity. When we’re young, this chakra overflows with high-watt, juicy energy that drives us to mate and create. It exudes from our young bodies and faces. It enables us to work all day and party all night. But as we grow older, our lifeforce energy begins to wane, and with it goes our libido, glowing health and radiant beauty.

Regular sex can rev it up, but if you don’t have a partner, self-pleasuring is the next best thing. Following are the steps and science of self-pleasuring for health and beauty.

Step One:  Prepare

For a fulfilling session, give yourself a little time to get ready.  

  • Set up in your bedroom or other comfy, private place.

  • Create a playlist of meditative and / or sexy music that will continue for an hour.

  • Have massage or coconut oil readily available.

  • Put a sexy toy on standby.

  • Wear loose-fitting clothing, or even better, go naked!

  • Give yourself a minimum of 15 minutes to an hour. The longer you remain in a state of arousal, the greater the benefit.

Step Two:  Shake those Hips

To begin your session, wake up your energy with hip movement. Play rhythmic music, and thrust your hips forward and backwards, make big circles, and dirty dance. Carress your body and rub your breasts as you move your hips. Be aware of your breath and synchronize it with your pelvic rhythm. Perform this movement for at least three minutes.

Pelvic movement helps you to become present in your body. It supports hip flexibility and tone, which is key for a youthful and healthy physique. Breasts are also connected to the second chakra, so touching them will additionally stoke the fire.

Step Three:  Touch to Tantalize

After your hips are awakened, lie down, and relax. Notice how your body feels. Your life force may already be buzzing. Begin to lightly caress your body - your face, arms, breasts, thighs, hips and buttocks. Move your hands slow-w-w-w-w-ly and sensually. Feel the shape of your body. Notice the pleasure arising from your strokes.  

After a minute or two, add a little massage or coconut oil. Glide your hands and fingers across your body. Let their slipperiness add to the exhilaration. Tantalize your inner thighs. Then, when you’re ready to turn up the heat, tease your most sensational erogenous zone with caresses. To assist, fantasize about a lover or making love.

The Science:

Step Five:  Bring out the Toys

By now, you’re probably feeling pretty zesty. Here’s an optional, but important step. When your body is begging for more and your inner fire is raging, bring your toy into the equation - if you know what I mean. Add more oil, if needed.

The Science:
Penetration is an important heath practice, especially for menopausal and sexually inactive women. It helps to maintain vaginal tone and flexibility. Without the occasional entry, atrophy and shrinkage may result, which contributes to painful sex. If you find insertion uncomfortable, let go of trying and continue with external pleasuring.  

Step Six:  Harness the Energy
